Make This Firecracker Chicken in Your Slow Cooker
This winter has been particularly cold in the Midwest. To help warm things up, I plan on making every spicy dish I know. This recipe brings the heat, packs a flavor punch, and, best of all, is made in the slow cooker so your hands-on cooking time is minimal. A win for everyone!
This slow cooker chicken recipe is the perfect thing for those looking for some serious heat. This recipe combines chicken, buffalo sauce, and some red chili flake at the end to keep you sweating. It’s like a workout and a meal all in one. That means I can skip the trainer, right? Right.
First you cut the chicken and toss it with a little cornstarch to give it a crispy exterior. Brown it in a pan for a couple minutes before transferring it to your slow cooker (make sure to spray the inside with a cooking spray). Mix up the sauce, pour it over top, pop on the lid, and walk away.
After three to four hours you have an irresistibly spicy meal that is perfect served over rice. A little steamed broccoli on the side wouldn’t hurt, either.
