I’m nearly out of storage space in my kitchen. I knew that this day would come eventually, but it kind of snuck up on me — I’ve accumulated one too many small appliances and pieces of cookware. For added context, only one-third of the kitchen cabinets are available for my own usage, as I share my space with two roommates. I might be able to purge a few things, but for the most part I do actually use all of the items that are currently taking up space in my kitchen.

So I’m on a mission to maximize every inch of my kitchen instead. That means adding organizers to every shelf. Luckily, there’s no shortage of ingenious options to choose from. I started my search by checking out a few editor-favorite brands, including YouCopia. One of their newer arrivals caught my eye immediately: the ShelfBin Stacking Pantry Bins. After seeing how they doubled the storage space on one of my shelves, I’m already planning on grabbing another set. Read on to find out what exactly makes this organizing gem so great.

What Are the YouCopia ShelfBin Stacking Pantry Bins?

There’s not too much to this find, but its simplicity doesn’t make it any less useful. It can serve a number of purposes, ranging from holding all of your snacks or produce to serving as onion and potato storage. For $25, you’ll get two recycled plastic bins that can either work separately or stacked on top of each other. To achieve the latter, the inside of the bins offer a small ledge that flips down, supporting the bottom of the other bin. All together, it measures about 9 inches deep and 10 inches wide. Most importantly, it comes out to a little over 12 inches tall when stacked, so don’t forget to measure your cabinets.

Why I love the YouCopia ShelfBin Stacking Pantry Bins

I had high expectations for this organizer — after all, a number of our editors have had nothing but positive things to say about YouCopia’s products — and I wasn’t disappointed. Right away, I could tell that the sturdy, thick plastic is made to last. Not to mention, the bins look great out in the open, too. Instead of just being solid white, they have speckled detailing that gives them a stylish edge over other organizers. They’re so sleek that I didn’t mind placing them on the open lower shelf of my kitchen island. They gave a home to all of my random kitchen gear that I didn’t quite know what to do with, like my blender accessories, water bottle cleaning brushes, some coffee gear, and a stray Brita filter.

I could imagine that it would work wonderfully as a fruit basket, too — hence why I want another set — because even when they’re stacked, the bins’ wide openings allow for easy access. Another shopper also noted that it works well for keeping their onions on one level and potatoes on the other. Really, the possibilities are endless.
