The sheet pan meal is a weeknight wonder. Your protein, veggie, and starch can all cook in harmony on one sheet pan, which means less hands-on cooking work for you and fewer dishes to clean up after. It really doesn’t get any better than that!

This sheet pan meal features crispy garlic-Parmesan chicken, asparagus, and baby potatoes for a perfect late-winter/early-spring dinner.

This recipe requires only 15 minutes of hands-on cooking time — the rest of the work is done by the oven, which means you have 30 glorious minutes of time while the meal is baking to use how you please.

First you’ll need to prep the chicken breast by seasoning it with salt and pepper; dunking it in an egg-milk mixture; and then coating it in a mixture of panko, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder before adding it to the sheet pan. Next you’ll cut the baby potatoes into quarters and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper before adding those next to the chicken on the sheet pan. Finally, you’ll cut the asparagus into thirds and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper before adding it to the sheet pan on the other side of the chicken.

Then all you have to do is put the sheet pan in the oven and walk away! (Maybe pour yourself a glass of wine and read from that book you started over the weekend?) When dinner’s ready just serve up a plate with a little of each component and pat yourself on the back for putting together such a fabulous meal in under an hour.
