Garth Brooks Is Opening a Restaurant Soon and It’s Named After His Classic ’90s Hit Song

With over 170 million records sold, Garth Brooks is not only one of the most premiere country artists ever, but one of the biggest-selling artists in any genre in the United States. With such fame, it only makes sense for the legend to leverage his celebrity and expand his brand into new ventures. And that’s precisely what he’s done with his latest business venture, the Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk. 

Named after his classic ’90s hit, the new venue is located on Broadway in downtown Nashville’s entertainment district. With the lower Broadway area currently featuring many country singer-owned establishments by artists such as Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, and more, one has to wonder what Brooks hopes to add to the crowded field. 

Speaking to fans on Facebook Live, he said, “If you’re going to open a bar, you’re going to want to bring something that people go ‘Now, you’ve been to Nashville.'” While revealing the logo, he discussed the vibe of the bar. Opting for simplicity, the idea for the classic-style honky-tonk was inspired by a fan who left a comment saying he should open a bar. We are glad to see that he listened.
