Non-dairy milk is a booming market right now. Even among nut milks there are a ton of different options, like almond milk, cashew milk, and more. Now Trader Joe’s has come out with a new non-dairy milk of its own, and this one is really interesting because it is actually a blend of several different nuts for optimal flavor and creaminess.

“Why have one nut when you can have three?” Trader Joe’s writes. “This question, posed by one of our intrepid Product Developers, was the driving force that spurred her to seek out a nut-based beverage for the ages — one that would rise above the rest, the creamiest, dreamiest, nut-based beverage on the market. (It may sound dramatic, but we’re serious about nut beverages around here.)”

According to Trader Joe’s, the new dairy-free milk is made of three nuts: “fragrant almond, buttery cashew, and creamy macadamia. A touch of sea salt is added to enhance these inherently nutty flavors.”

Blogger Become Betty writes that it has a distinctly nutty flavor that is not sweet. Some people might find the nutty flavor off-putting, if they’re looking for a neutral-flavored milk substitute, but if you like the taste of nuts then the nutty flavor could be a bonus — especially in coffee. She also says that it’s creamy and has a mouthfeel like actual milk.

Instagram user and Registered Dietician Maggie Michalczyk, of Once Upon a Pumpkin, posted a photo of a latte she’d made with the new blended nut milk, and it looks like she was able to get the dairy-free milk to froth nicely for her latte.

She also seems to be a big fan of its flavor and texture, writing: “Heading to brunch in a couple of hours but am pre gaming it with this latte made with this new milk I found at Trader Joe’s! IT’S GOOD, creamy and nutty.”

An eight-ounce serving of Trader Joe’s new Almond, Cashew & Macadamia Nut Beverage has 30 calories, 120 milligrams of sodium, and no sugar. It’s gluten-free, soy-free, Kosher-certified, and vegan, and a 32-ounce carton costs $2.29.
