It’s not super often that our entire editorial team stops a meeting to talk about how much we love a certain kitchen brand, but it does happen from time to time. And it happened recently when we paused to talk about the direct-to-consumer company Material. It’s no secret that Kitchn’s staff is full of Material fans: We’ve written about their cutting boards, kitchen shears, spatulas, and dinnerware again and again and again. We even loved their nonstick skillet so much after extremely extensive testing, we named it one of our favorites! And we love those cutting boards so much, we added them to our list of Kitchn Essentials earlier this year.

So, when we found out that Material was launching something entirely brand-new, we were incredibly excited. And you should be too! Because, as of today, you can now get a reBowl.

What’s the reBowl, you ask? It’s a bowl! A bowl made from recycled plastic and renewable sugarcane — just like the beloved reBoard! The reBowls are sold individually or in sets of two and are available in a pink-tan Clay, a light blue Azure, and yellow-ish Sand. The reBowl is BPA-free, dishwasher-safe, and uses zero virgin plastic, which makes it eco-friendly. “Since July 2019 reBoards have saved 25,000+ pounds of virgin plastic to date and the brand is excited to continue using these materials with the launch of this new kitchen must-have!” a company representative told us.

The reBowls have a 2.75-quart capacity and, because of their sizeable stature, are truly all-purpose. They can be used for mixing cookie dough, tossing a salad, serving pasta, storing prepped ingredients as you cook — you get the idea! (Mostly because you know how bowls work.) They also have a flared lip for easy pouring and nest within one another for easy storage! In addition to their general handiness, there are two other things we want to point out: Because they’re made from recycled plastic and renewable sugarcane, they’re very durable and not breakable (because kitchen accidents do happen and a broken bowl is absolutely no fun.). Also, these are the prettiest plastic bowls we’ve ever seen; they are downright gorgeous and we’d have no problem using them as serving dishes right on the table. They even match the reBoards, which we also like to use for serving.

You can get the reBowl ($25 for one or $45 for two), starting today, on Material’s site. And you should absolutely place your order before these bowls sell out … which is a thing that tends to happen.
