Since its arrival onto the scene a few years back, Kellogg’s Cinnabon Bakery-Inspired Cereal has become a bit of a cult favorite in the breakfast world. Featuring crispy, mini cinnamon-swirl shaped pieces, topped with cinnamon sugar and sweet frosting flavor, the Cinnabon cereal was as close to the iconic bakery treat as a cereal could possibly get. That was until it was discontinued in 2018.

Now, however, after a huge push online from fans, the Cinnabon Bakery-Inspired Cereal is back and better than ever. Surprised? You shouldn’t be. With multiple pleas on social media over the past five years and even an online petition, the message was clear that the fans needed to be heard and tastebuds satisfied. 

“For years, Cinnabon and Kellogg’s fans alike have been asking for us to collaborate again and bring back one of their favorite cereals,” said Dave Mikita, President of Focus Brands Global Channels and Licensing said in a press release. “Now the wait is finally over, and fans can once again enjoy the delicious taste of Cinnabon in cereal form.”

Now if you’re thinking “Didn’t we just see the cereal on the shelves last year?” The answer is yes … and no. Last spring, the brand released the cereal in Jumbo Snax form, but the original version was still missing. Now, however, fans have finally had their wishes granted as they can take advantage of the initial rollout at Sam’s Club this month with 8.7-ounce boxes retailing for $4.99.

Don’t have a Sam’s Club in your area? Other nationwide retailers will begin to see inventory arriving by December 2022, making it the perfect holiday treat. If you’re anything like me, you’re already creating space in your pantry for the re-arrival of the Cinnabon cereal.
