Summer for my family means one thing: Popsicles. We can’t get enough of them! I try to keep them as a treat for my kid, but my husband and I have been known to wolf a few down after she goes to sleep.

Popsicles are incredibly fun and inexpensive to make at home, and right now I have my eye on these Creamsicle-inspired ones from Amy Palanjian of Yummy Toddler Food. Not only do they look sweet and refreshing, but they’re also full of protein, probiotics, and vitamin C. “I’m all about turning as many ingredients as I can into popsicles,” says Amy. “It’s such a fun afternoon snack option and a great way to serve up a wide range of foods.”

All you need to make these healthy-ish popsicles are fresh oranges, plain yogurt, and a bit of honey or maple syrup. Full-fat Greek yogurt makes the creamiest Popsicles, but you can also use regular yogurt, or a non-dairy yogurt if you want to keep them vegan. To make the Popsicles, you don’t even have to juice the oranges: Just peel them, then blend the fruit with the rest of the ingredients until it’s very smooth. If you like, you can add a bit of vanilla extract for that classic vanilla ice cream flavor that makes original Creamsicles so good. Then, just freeze the mixture in ice pop molds, and you’ll have a delicious treat whenever you want one.
