Back in March, I visited the Dollar Tree near the town I grew up in. When I was younger, my grandmother and I would frequent the store, so it holds a special place in my heart. While I was there, I scoped out what’s now called “Snack Zone” and noticed a ton of breakfast items across multiple categories.

There were great things everywhere I looked: frozen breakfast sandwiches, breakfast pastries, just-add-water mixes, morning beverages, and more. And like the snacks, all of them cost $1.25, unless otherwise marked (and in those cases, they were less). Here are the 9 breakfast finds worth picking up the next time you visit.

1. Cereal

You’ll find several name-brand cereals in brightly colored bags, including Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles, Froot Loops, and Cap’n Crunch. At $1.25 per bag, the serving sizes ranged from 1.5 (Cheerios) to 3 (Cap’n Crunch). Depending on how hungry you are — or how much cereal is left — you could even use the bag as a makeshift bowl. File that idea away for camping breakfasts or a fun pre-camp breakfast for your kiddo.

2. Instant Oatmeal

3. Just-Add-Water Mixes

While you wait for TJ’s to restock its just-add-water chocolate chip pancakes, mix things up with these Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Muffins. The $1.25 mix makes six muffins (freeze the extras and reheat them for future breakfasts or midday snacks) and is also available in Triple Berry and Banana Nut. Bonus: Just-add-water mixes for Bisquick Buttermilk Biscuits, which makes six biscuits and bakes in just 11 minutes, and a duo of Loretta pancake mixes (Light & Fluffy Buttermilk and Buttermilk Protein) are also available.

4. Frozen Waffles

Sometimes just adding water is, well, just too much. For those days, there are these Creations Frozen Waffles. Just add heat — and butter and syrup, if you’d like. They’re available in two flavors, Homestyle and Blueberry, and you get six waffles per box for $1.25.

5. Frozen Fruit

No matter the season, frozen fruit is always on my grocery list for using in smoothies or for topping hot and cold cereals or yogurt. You can also snack on them straight from the bag. Beyond this Jennifer’s Garden Tropical Blend (papaya, banana, mango, pineapple), you’ll find several different bags of berries and tropical fruit in the freezer case: Jennifer’s Garden Mango Chunks; TJ Farms Select Berry Banana Blend (strawberries, blueberries, banana); a Strawberry, Blueberry, Mango mix; and Blueberries and Strawberries, each sold individually. And yes, they’re all $1.25.

6. Frozen Bacon, Ham, and Sausage

Why pick one breakfast meat, when you can stock up on all three — bacon, ham, and sausage — for $1.25 each? The Farmer John Premium Classic Bacon comes in four-slice packs, while the Classic Pork Sausage Links (also from Farmer John) contains eight links per box, and Dan’l Boone Country Ham, also known as “Biscuit Slices,” is sold in 3-ounce portions.

7. Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches

The frozen food section didn’t disappoint in the breakfast sando department either. At $1.25, this Jimmy Dean Sausage and American Cheese sandwich comes on an English Muffin and takes just 65 seconds in the microwave (40 if it’s been thawed in the refrigerator). Its Griddle Cakes Sandwich counterpart, made with maple pancakes and sausage, is also available, along with an El Monterey Breakfast Wrap with egg, potato, cheese, sauce, and sausage. Just heat and eat!

8. Coffee & Teas

What’s a morning meal without a fresh cup of coffee or tea? Choose from various flavored and instant coffees, or even espresso. There are also several types of teas, including green, black, chamomile and more — all for $1.25 each. You can also pick up powdered creamer for the same price.

9. Breakfast Pastries

If you like your morning meal on the sugary side, this is the box (or boxes) for you. Available in Frosted Strawberry, Cherry, Blueberry, Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and, yes, S’mores, these Toast’em Pop-Ups are fully baked and ready to eat, although you can also heat them in the toaster or microwave if you prefer them warm. Like many items on this list they come in packs of six and are $1.25 per box.
