Olive Garden’s Asiago garlic Alfredo sauce is a cult favorite that has been luring guests through the restaurant’s doors for years. It’s so rich and creamy that it stands out even on the Olive Garden menu, where just about everything you see is a mind-boggling feat of cheese and cream. To copy that crowd-pleasing magic at home, all you’ll need is 15 minutes, a block of Asiago cheese, and few pantry staples, and you’ll have an Asiago Alfredo sauce so creamy it will be like actually living in an Olive Garden.

Several people have developed copies of Olive Garden’s famous Alfredo sauce, and this recipe promises to be especially indulgent, because the author says the secret to the world’s creamiest pasta sauce is a block of cream cheese. Putting cream cheese in pasta sauce might not be authentically Italian, but it makes this sauce creamier than you can possibly imagine.

Start by combining butter, heavy whipping cream, and the cream cheese in a saucepan and warm it up over medium heat until the butter and cream cheese have completely melted. Then season the mixture with salt and pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning blend, and some fresh minced garlic to give it a nice, garlicky kick. Then mix in a cup of Asiago cheese, because that’s the cheese that made this dish famous in the first place, and stir in cooked fettuccine noodles, or whatever kind of pasta you like best, and that’s really all there is to it.

This recipe takes 10 minutes to cook and five minutes of prep time, and that prep time estimate seems generous, considering the only thing you have to prepare is half a teaspoon of chopped garlic. In just 15 minutes or less, you can have pasta as creamy as Olive Garden’s, without even having to find your keys or leave your house. The kids will love it.
