Spring is around the corner: Can you feel it? The birds are chirping, the ice is melting, and Trader Joe’s is coming out with a slew of new products to celebrate. On the latest episode of the Inside Trader Joe’s podcast (one of our preferred forms of news consumption these days), Tara Miller and Matt Sloan teased the 12 latest products to hit shelves at your favorite grocery store. Although every new product reveal is good, this one just might take the cake — or, should we say, cinnamon muffin.

1. Chocolate and Peanut Butter Joe-Joe Cookie

This version of the popular cookie is more about peanut butter than chocolate. As Matt notes, the development team originally created a cookie with a dark chocolate coating, then milk chocolate coating, before finally settling on the peanut butter one. If you’re a fan of sandwich cookies and love peanut butter, you’ll want to try these.

2. Almond Butter Almonds

Why eat almonds when you can eat almonds covered in almond butter? Trader Joe’s, you are just the right amount of extravagant and we are here for it. Matt and Tara note in the podcast that these are definitely more savory than sweet — which makes them ideal for that 3 p.m. snack attack without a sugar crash. The almonds are roasted, not raw, for a more intense flavor.

3. Grapefruit Body Butter

Decidedly not edible, the aloe- and coconut oil-based body butter is the newest scent in Trader Joe’s already-popular body butter line. The bright and invigorating scent combined with the ultra rich texture will whip your winter hands back into shape. It’s supposed to hit shelves within the next couple of weeks, if it’s not already in your local TJ’s!

4. Ruby Red Grapefruit Segments

Pre-peeled, pre-packaged citrus slices are great for when you’re on the go, or have just a minute or two between Zoom calls.

5. Ginger Lemon and Lemon Strawberry Organic Sparkling Apple Cider Vinegar Beverages

If you’re looking to cut down on soda or sugary drinks, these kombucha-esque beverages will satisfy your craving for a bubbly drink. They’re tangy and satisfying. Whether you use them as mixers for cocktails is entirely up to you.

6. Oven Baked Cheese Bites with Tomato and Chili

If you’re already a fan of the gluten-free Oven Baked Cheese Bites line at TJ’s, you’re definitely going to want to grab these. Like a pizza topped with a quick shake of red pepper flakes, they’re a nice gluten-free option for croutons or crackers. They’re reminiscent of homemade frico. We’re thinking that your next bowl of tomato soup needs a handful or two of these.

7. Gluten-Free Cinnamon Coffee Cake Muffins

How many times did Tara and Matt say the word “moist” when describing these muffins? At least one more than is comfortable. But early reviews of these cinnamon-spiked muffins are rave.

8. Cold Brew Coffee and Boba Coconut Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert

“Even though no dairy was used in this, it’s ice cream,” says Matt. The dairy-free, vegan creaminess comes from coconut, although Tara notes that it doesn’t actually taste coconut-y (It’s got Kahlua vibes). As a fun bonus, it contains boba, or tapioca pearls, which you may know better as a main ingredient in bubble tea.

9. Creamy Cauliflower Jalapeño Dip

Cream cheese and ricotta cheese make this dip taste indulgent, but it’s actually relatively low in calories and fat, because the main ingredient is cauliflower. (Is there anything that little brassica can’t do?) You’ll find this dip in the packaged, refrigerated section, but don’t let that stop you from getting creative and using it as a sandwich spread or base for focaccia.

10. Vegetable Samosa Burrito

The filling in this new product contains potatoes, peas, cauliflower, and carrots with a tomato chutney-inspired sauce. Instead of getting fried, like a traditional samosa, it’s all wrapped in a flour tortilla. This (vegan!) burrito is fresh — made and delivered to Trader Joe’s locations daily.

11. Organic Banana Fruit Spread

Does your peanut butter sandwich need banana fruit spread? Apparently yes? This is a limited-time offering, so if you’re bananas for, uh, well, you know … snap it up while it’s around.

12. Rutland Red Leicester Cheese

Cheese nerds will definitely appreciate this rare find. Rutland Red comes from a town north of London, where these cheeses are wrapped in butter-coated cloth to control the 10-month aging process. Matt estimates that each store will receive “maybe 75 to 80 pounds,” so don’t sleep on it if a small farm cooperative-made cheddar-esque cheese is your jam.
