Of Course Martha Stewart Is Launching a Line of CBD Products for Pets

If you told me a few years ago that Martha Stewart was involved with hemp, I’d probably assume you meant that she was crafting macrame plant hangers. Well my friends, the year is 2019, and Martha Stewart is now an advisor to Canopy Growth, one of the leading cannabis companies in North America.

In the official announcement, the company revealed that Martha plans to help co-create a line of hemp-based cannabidol-infused (CBD) pet products, aimed at improving holistic health. Martha used to be an expert on weeding— does this now mean that she is an expert on weed?

special friendship with Snoop Dogg

The pair, who co-host a TV series on VH1 together (Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party), have more than just a bond— they also have a mutual influence over one another. Just last fall, Snoop published a cookbook, From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from The Boss Dogg’s Kitchen, so it’s only natural that Martha would cozy up to cannabis. Considering that Snoop Dogg already has an established partnership with Canopy Growth, it makes sense why Martha has suddenly thrown her gardening hat into the ring.

We are not sure what expertise that Martha will provide other than her love of pets, gardening, and living her best life, but we are on the edge of our seats to see what the pet-centric CBD product’s packaging looks like once Martha waves her magic wand over it.

Martha herself explains that the reason she chose to get involved with this pet CBD endeavor (of which she only hints at, calling them “sensible products for people’s beloved pets”) is because she is an expert on living. “I am delighted to establish this partnership with Canopy and share with them the knowledge I have gained after years of experience in the subject of living.”
