More Than 400 Products Included in Massive Recall Due to Listeria Concerns
It’s only February, but food recalls are already having a “great” year. Last month, we reported that our beloved Rao’s recalled jars of its Chicken & Gnocchi Soup, and earlier this month, almost 53,000 pounds of ready-to-eat sausage products had been recalled due to possible listeria infection. Now, hundreds of products produced by Fresh Ideation Food Group LLC are the latest to be affected by a recall.
Fresh Ideation Food Group LLC has announced a food recall affecting hundreds of its products including breakfast sandwiches, fruit cups, meat bowls, parfaits, pizza, salads, sandwiches, more. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s site (FDA), the Baltimore-based company is recalling products with the Fresh Creative Cuisine label due to potential listeria contamination. The products in question were sold from January 24 through January 30, 2023, and distributed in Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia. These products were sold in retail locations, vending machines, and during travel with transportation providers.
The recall was called after the samples tested positive for listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported, but anyone who has purchased the products is urged to contact the company, Fresh Ideation Food Group LLC, at 855-969-3338.
So check your cabinets and fridge for any products that have a Fresh Creative Cuisine label or identifier, and a fresh-through or sell-through date ranging from January 31, 2023 to February 6, 2023. If you come across any of the products that fall under this category, you are encouraged to refrain from consuming them and contact the company.
