One of the hobbies I’ve developed over the past few weeks while I stay at home is helping my friends and family order large quantities of wine. It started when I helped my mom redeem a Living Social coupon for 18 bottles of wine. Shortly thereafter, I helped my grandmother, who was down to her last bottle of pinot grigio, do the same. Then, I helped write a story about the best alcohol delivery services to use “in times like these.” Inspired by that post, my former college roommates teamed up to surprise one of our best friends with a Drizly delivery to cheer her up.

My point: Pretty much everyone I know is set on wine right now. The real question, though, is do they have the very best tool to open it?

Buy: Oster Cordless Electric Wine Bottle Opener, $20

According to Amazon shoppers, the Oster Cordless Electric Wine Bottle Opener is the best gadget for the job. (It’s the bestselling corkscrew on all of Amazon.) Because it’s electric and automatic, this opener takes the guesswork out of the wine-opening process. You no longer have to worry about whether or not you’ve drilled far enough into the cork or if you’re going to accidentally shred the cork right into the bottle (oh, that’s just a me problem?).

All you have to do is use the included foil cutter to clear a path, align the opener over the bottle, press the button, wait, and your wine is uncorked and ready for drinking. And a single charge can open up to 30 bottles of wine.

The opener has more than 5,300 five-star reviews. Here are a few, for your reference.

“My old one finally broke after about 10 years of accelerated and very consistent use! I am buying another one because I loved it so much … I am happy to report this opener is even easy for the wine opener operator to use after consuming many, many, bottles of wine in one evening. Just put it on the bottle and push the button and the cork is removed. Then if you have any left over energy and motivation you push the button in the opposite direction and the cork pops out of the opener.”

“This is the greatest creation ever. I originally saw a bartender use this at a bar and I had to order myself one. I’m ordering another one for my elderly grandmother because she struggles with opening bottles of wine all the time.”

“As a senior citizen, opening a bottle of wine can be a challenge using a manual corkscrew. This opener is great. You place it on the bottle with one hand while holding the bottle with the other and press a button. The corkscrew goes into the cork and will stop when it’s fully inserted. Press the button again and it will remove the cork from the bottle and then continue until the cork comes off of the corkscrew. So much easier than doing it manually. I’ve used it at parties and the charge will last between 20 and 30 bottles. It also comes with a charging stand and a cutter for the paper wrapped on the bottle neck.”
