I Tried All-Clad’s New $60 Nonstick Fry Pan — And Now I Use It Every Day (It’s So Easy to Clean!)
In its over 50 years of existence, All-Clad has nearly perfected its cookware. This claim isn’t just mine — pretty much all of us editors here at The Kitchn are unanimous in our declaration that All-Clad is one of the best cookware brands. Why? Because the brand never disappoints. All-Clad consistently uses high-quality materials like stainless steel, aluminum, and copper, which distribute heat evenly, clean up nicely, and ultimately perform well over time. It’s the kind of cookware we believe is worth the investment — especially considering how many brands cut corners. (All-Clad does not.)
In particular, the brand’s fry pans and skillets are some of my favorites. I’ve bought my fair share of cheap ones over the years that warp and scratch, which always leaves me feeling like a lousy cook. I’ve even purchased expensive brands that work well, but nothing compares to All-Clad. Specifically, their newest NS Pro line, which has an incredible 10-inch fry pan that I seriously cannot stop using. Whenever I want to sear veggies or make my morning eggs, I reach for it — it’s just that good.
What Is All-Clad’s NS Pro Nonstick Fry Pan?
This fry pan is part of All-Clad’s new NS Pro nonstick cookware line. According to All-Clad’s website, it features a “high-quality PTFE nonstick that’s bonded to the core with a layer of ceramic plasma for easy release and improved scratch resistance.” In other words, it’s really easy to cook with. It can be used on all cooking surfaces, including induction, and is made out of 100% recycled aluminum, so it’s also earth-friendly. On top of it all, it’s oven-safe up to 500°F so you can bake with it, too!
Why I Love All-Clad’s NS Pro Nonstick Fry Pan
It’s simply amazing. This fry pan is great for novice chefs and beginners alike. I’d recommend it to anyone, as it cooks exceptionally well, is easy to clean, and can typically be found on sale for a reasonable price. It’s made with a plasma nonstick coating and a full induction plate that’s super durable and heats evenly, so you don’t have to worry about it warping or unevenly cooking your food — it delivers consistent results every time. I appreciate its flared edges for when I’m sautéing veggies or flipping my morning eggs, and I especially love its 10-inch size, as I usually only cook for myself (there’s also a 12-inch if you cook for a few). It’s truly one of my favorite fry pans; its nonstick coating is like no other, and its heat distribution makes me feel like a pro. Although it’s technically dishwasher-safe, I’d recommend you wash it by hand to keep its nonstick material intact, which is what I do (I’d rather have it cleaned immediately anyway).
For only $59.99 on sale, you can pick up this fry pan and fall in love with cooking all over again. Thanks to its even heat distribution and nonstick coating, you’ll find yourself looking for excuses to brown, sear, and pan-fry your foods!
