Party food is meant to be fun and a direct reflection of the ambiance and atmosphere you're trying to create with the party. If you're looking to throw a fun, down to earth yet delicious party — maybe you should seriously consider serving food on a stick. Yes, you read that right — on a stick!
I'm a firm believer that the best food crowd pleasers are of the most down home and simple variety and it certainly doesn't get any simpler than stringing food on a stick. Forget the utensils and the fancy china — wash the work off your hands and grab a skewer of pizza or a poptart on a stick. If you're looking for something a tad more refined and refreshing; there's always the option of a salad on a stick!
These aren't meant to be gimmicky, they're actually meant to be fun, unique and a way to get guests interested in the food being served at a party. No more boring and tired buffet lines and anxiously waiting for your table number to be called so you can get chicken cordon bleu. So..
.. let's get down and dirty with food served best on a stick:

• Caprese Salad, Terri's Table
• Pizza On A Stick, Artisan Bread In Five
• Raspberry Mascarpone Macarons, Tartelette

Love food on a stick! I just served mini cinnamon buns on a stick at father's day brunch this past Sunday. It was an absolute hit! Guests took their mini cinni's and dipped them into small bowls of vanilla glaze - everyone loved it. It's on icecreambeforedinner.com if you want to see how it came out!
One word: SATAY!
There's a new cookbook called On a Stick! by Matt Armendariz. It's exactly what you think it is -- a collection of skewered recipes. Shauna Ahern over at Gluten Free Girl just made a GF version of the corndog recipe from the book. Looks amazing.
love matt's book!
that pizza on a stick recipe is fabulous for parties. FABULOUS. change up the ingredients, make it "fancy," and people will devour them by the truckload.
Thanks so much for linking to my blog and the attribution. Very happy you liked the Caprese Skewers. They are my favorite summer appetizers. I'll have to try to the pizza on a stick!
