If you covet those glossy, perfectly iced sugar cookies but don’t feel like you’re up to the task, we’re here to help. This is the simplest, most straightforward way to decorate cookies with icing.

Clear some counter space and arrange completely cooled cookies over parchment paper.

Prepare the border icing by transferring it to a squeeze bottle. This icing should be thick, so it may take a few minutes.

Prepare the flood icing by also transferring it to a squeeze bottle. It should be thick but drizzle easily.

Draw the borders around the cookies with border icing and allow it to dry slightly.

Flood the interior of the cookie with flood icing.

Leave the cookies undisturbed for at least 24 hours to fully dry.
