Where’s the Best Place to Keep My Kitchen Trash Can?

Q: My daughter has moved in with me and has decided she doesn’t like having the garbage in the kitchen, where it can be seen/accessed. Granted I would rather not see it as well, but I cannot afford any upgrades at the moment.

She has decided that she wants to put this trash can, that has no lid, in my small pantry. I have a problem with this and find it gross and a health problem. But where is a better place to keep the trash can that’s not out in the open?

Editor: My first thought is to keep the trash in a lower cabinet near, or under the sink, perhaps with cleaning supplies.
