This large oval cutting board is an interesting idea for small spaces - a cutting board that gives you more space instead of less.

This Oval Cutting Board ($120, Chopblocks) is made of solid beech wood and comes with clips that fasten it to your counter. It extends your countertop a little extra, and a little extra means a lot in a small kitchen.
Our last kitchen was so small it didn't have a counter corner for a board like this. The concept reminded us of Phoebe's winning kitchen in last year's Smallest Coolest Kitchen Contest, though.
Tiny galley kitchens - all angles and corners - might benefit from a space-making board like this though.
What do you think - would you use one in your kitchen?
I absolutely would have loved one of these in my old, small kitchen... although $120 seems like a bit much? The idea seems to be begging for an Ikea hack, though!

What a great idea! yes, a bit pricy but how did they know that the corner of the counter is where I always try to chop but end up moving over because the board isn't stable.

I would definitely use this, but I agree it's pretty pricey. It would be perfect when my partner and I are both preparing for dinner, because there just isn't currently enough room for both of us.
