As soon as I laid eyes on Le Creuset’s fruit cocottes at the start of summer, I knew that they would sell out in the blink of an eye. If you didn’t get a glimpse of them then — the iconic cookware brand dropped blueberry-, strawberry, and raspberry-shaped dishes that were gone in days. (My prediction was spot on.) I’ve been thinking about them ever since, regretting that I didn’t click the buy button fast enough.

If you’re in the same boat, I need to get my latest find on your radar. Staub, another French brand known for its top-tier cast-iron cookware, has an alternative that’s even more fitting for the upcoming season. Its veggie-shaped dishes will be a staple in your kitchen this fall, and they’re so cute that you’ll definitely want to keep them on display instead of stashed in a cabinet. I’m obsessed with the Artichoke Petite Cocotte in particular, which you’re sure to bake in and serve dips out of all the time. What’s more, it’s on sale for Labor Day!

What Is the Staub Artichoke Petite Cocotte?

Despite its 16-ounce size — though it’s perfect for individual servings — this cocotte will steal the show every time you put it to use. It has a textured design on the lid that gives it some realism, with logo-embossed handles that resemble leaves. It’s all topped off with a stunning, deep green porcelain enamel finish. Intricate as its appearance may be, this dish is fit for the oven, freezer, and dishwasher, and it’ll hold up for years to come. You won’t see any scratches get through the beautiful-yet-durable finish.
