As one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the world, you can bet that Zwilling knows a thing or two about what makes for the best blades in the business. There’s a reason that we ranked the Zwilling Pro Le Blanc 8-Inch Chef’s Knife as our favorite heavy-duty option on our list of the best chef’s knives or that our deputy food director loves the Zwilling J.A. Henckels Pro 2-Piece Chef’s Set for everyday use. If you’re a longtime fan of the German kitchen brand like us, then get excited, because we have news about an expertly crafted limited-edition chef’s knife to celebrate their 290th anniversary.

The Zwilling Intercontinental 8-Inch Chef’s Knife is made using a stainless special formula steel and a high-quality Bocote wood handle. It’s produced right in Solingen, Germany, where Zwilling was first founded. As a nod to the anniversary year, only 2,900 of these knives will be made available, with the individual number featured on the blade of each knife.

In addition to the limited quantity, there are a few other aspects about this knife that make it unique. The handle is made of Bocote wood, a hardwood with varied individual grain and colors that make each knife look different. They’re also hand-finished, so that special care and attention is given to the comfort of the knife’s handle too.

Of course, the main attraction is the blade itself, which is made of Zwilling-formulated steel that’s flexible, yet durable. On its face, you’ll find the name and 290th anniversary etched, along with the limited-edition seal stating which number knife you’re holding out of the 2,900 available.

It’s clear that Zwilling held nothing back while crafting this rare knife that’s sure to become a collector’s item. With so much custom craftsmanship involved, it’s no surprise that the price tag on this knife is steep. However, you can get one available now at a special price of $349.99 while the offer lasts. It’s so gorgeous that you’ll want to store it on a knife block that displays it in all its glory, like the Zwilling Magnetic Easel or Material’s The Stand. No matter which way you cut it, there won’t be another knife quite like this one.
