Summer, is that you? With the weather warming up, local farms are back in full swing and many of us are anticipating our first CSA boxes of the season. That means one thing: You’re going to need a good knife to break down all of your fresh produce! If you’re still on the hunt for the perfect everyday knife, look no further than Zwilling’s ongoing massive cutlery sale. There are so many good deals to choose from — including our gear pro Sharon‘s favorite knife block (64 percent off!) — but we’ve got our eye on the brand’s 7-inch Chef’s knife, which can slice, dice and chop everything like a boss! Regularly priced at $170, the knife is marked down to $50 from now until June 19. Umm, yes, that’s a whopping 71% off!

We’re big fans of Zwilling J.A Henckels, and their 8-inch knife even made it to our Best Chef’s Knives and 2020 Kitchn Essentials lists. While this particular knife is just one inch smaller, in no way are you getting short-changed. The shorter blade actually makes the knife incredibly versatile and perfect for everyday chopping, slicing, mincing and dicing jobs — big and small. It can whiz through a pile of fresh herbs to make gremolata, cut a precision dice of tomatoes for pico de gallo, slice through chicken and seafood for dinner entrees and mince celery for a chicken salad. It’s also the perfect size for prepping smaller ingredients like chilis or garlic when you want the rocking motion a paring knife can’t provide.

Like most of Zwilling’s premium knife lines, the 7-inch Chef’s knife is fully forged, meaning the blade is fashioned from a single piece of metal that runs from the heel to the tip of the knife. This gives the knife balance, which makes it easy to control so you’ll not only be safer while using it but also be able to chop more without getting tired. The blade’s material is also pretty unique, since it’s crafted using an ice-hardening process that makes it sturdy, sharp, and corrosion resistant. This sort of sharpness is key for working with fibrous veggies like squash and is a bonus for anyone who isn’t a fan of sharpening their knives.

For $50, a forged knife of any size is a major steal, but the 7-inch Chef’s knife is truly a cut above: It’s a user-friendly workhorse that’ll make everyday cooking a whole lot easier.
