Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Palm Springs Estate Is for Sale — And the Kitchen Has Gold-Brushed Ceilings
Few people define glamour quite like Zsa Zsa Gabor, the late socialite who became known for living loudly and dripping in diamonds at all times. If you’ve ever wanted a peek inside Gabor’s opulent lifestyle prior to her death at age 99 in 2016, now’s your chance. The Palm Springs estate she once owned with her older sister Magda is officially on the market, and the custom-built estate certainly mirrors her bold personal style and penchant for pink.
Up for grabs for a cool $3.6 million, the plush pad offers 360-degree views of Palm Springs’ signature cityscape and mountainside, and the home itself isn’t too shabby either. Not only is the exterior of the house painted a bright pink hue, the interior is rich in color, prints, and patterns, serving up old Hollywood glam in spades.
With 3,441 square feet of living space, the home includes three bedrooms, three full baths, and 1 ¾ half baths, with plenty of luxury around every corner. With a fully mirrored sitting area, a dining room decked in black walls and an enormous chandelier, a pink primary closet, gold brushed ceilings in the kitchen, and printed pattern wallpaper in the bedrooms and baths, the listing notes that many of the furnishings actually belonged to the Gabors, which means the lucky new owner will snag a piece of Hollywood history when they move in.
The sisters lived in the home for 30 years, occupying it at different times throughout the decades, and it’s situated in the luxe Little Tuscany neighborhood where the likes of Elvis Presley and Barry Manilow have reportedly also called home.
Of course, a Palm Springs estate wouldn’t be complete without a resort-worthy pool, and this one is fitting of Hollywood royalty, including a covered veranda to shield from the hot desert sun that leads out to the mosaic tile pool area. There’s also a patio with a fire pit and plenty of indoor space for entertaining, too, thanks to a well-outfitted family and breakfast room.
Click here to take a peek at her pad. Even if you don’t have a cool $3 million to buy it, you never know where you might find inspiration from her glitzy design and decor choices.
