The U.S. Postal Service is serving up some serious nostalgia this week with the release of a new series of stamps. The “Soda Fountain Favorites” stamps feature five different soda fountain treats, including a banana split, root beer float, and a classic hot fudge sundae.

As USPS notes on their website, the height of soda fountain popularity was in the 1940s and 1950s. While there are only a handful of “real” soda fountains left today, you can still find these classic flavors in modern ice cream shops, and you can obviously make them at home. The ice cream drawings created by Nancy Stahl have a vintage quality to them, which plays into the nostalgia factor.
