You Know You Want This Skillet Lemon-Honey Chicken Tonight
If someone told you that you were having chicken and green beans for dinner tonight, you’d probably be a little disappointed, right? Maybe you’ve had a few too many dry, flavorless chicken breasts and mushy, bland green beans in your life, but this recipe is far from that.
To get that nice golden-brown crust on the chicken breast, you first coat it in a mixture of all-purpose flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Then you cook it in a hot, oiled skillet for up to six minutes per side. While the chicken cooks, you can make your sauce, which calls for lemon juice, honey, garlic, butter, and a pinch of cayenne. Once the chicken is cooked, you can set it aside and sauté your lemon slices and green beans in the same skillet so they pick up all the browned bits left behind.
If you want to keep things light, you can just serve this dish as is, with the chicken, green beans, and sauce. If you’re looking for something a bit more substantial, some cooked quinoa or rice or nice baguette would really round out the meal.
