If you have a small kitchen, then you might be familiar with the struggle of how to store so many tools in such a tiny space. Remember, kitchens don’t only hold food: Mine has cleaning supplies under the sink, pots and pans in the cabinet, and storage containers on a shelf in the pantry. Since I don’t have much room on my countertops, I’m always looking for ways to make the most of it it. (My pride and joy is my roll-up dish-drying rack that conveniently lays over my single-basin sink.) But towels? Well, those are another issue altogether.

While my dish towels have a place to call home, the sponge cloths I’ve used in place of paper towels have been invading my kitchen. They don’t have loops or hooks for hanging, so they’re often left on the counter to dry. I went looking for a solution for air-drying the cloths away from the countertops and came across the Dish Towel Hanger from Yamazaki Home.

At first sight, the Dish Towel Hanger was larger than expected, and I was worried it would overwhelm my countertop. Once I actually put it in place, I found that there was no cause for concern: The rack measures just 11.8 inches long by 9.75 inches tall by 4 inches wide. It has three rods for hanging towels and comes with two small hooks for hanging sponges and other kitchen tools.

What I really like about the dish towel hanger is that it isn’t bulky. I can store it when not in use, just like I do the rest of my dishwashing supplies. It’s slim enough to fit in the space between my sink and my Keurig without cluttering the counter. The packaging states that it can dry three dishcloths at a time, but it really all depends on the size of the towel. (Mine can fit as many as six sponge cloths.)

Like many products AT editors love from Yamazaki Home, the Dish Towel Hanger is sleek, durable, and affordable. It’s made from steel and available in either white or black to suit a variety of kitchen styles. When you’re done using it, just wipe it down with a damp cloth, and you’re ready to go for the next time. Now I can worry less about the pile of towels on my countertops and enjoy my clutter-free kitchen!
