This Amazon Find to Organize Your Plastic Wrap, Parchment Paper, and Aluminum Foil Is Pretty Enough to Leave on Your Counters
Aluminum foil, parchment paper, and plastic wrap are kitchen mainstays for me. I always have rolls on hand — for grilling vegetables (and avoiding a big cleanup), making salmon in papillote, or doing a million other things — which means, though, that I always have to deal with storing all the rolls in my kitchen.
One of the banes of my existence is when I forget to dry my hands before touching the cling wrap box — which ultimately leaves the newly opened cardboard box limp and damaged, making it harder to tear off subsequent pieces of cling, foil, and parchment. Do you do this too?
In an effort to make my life a bit more orderly, I decided to try out this WRAPdock Dual Wrap Dispenser I found on Amazon. It costs $35, so it’s definitely not cheap, but I have to admit that it’s a nice addition to the kitchen.
For starters, the dual dispenser means you can keep cling wrap on one side and foil on the other — how fantastic!
Made from bamboo, it looks considerably nicer out on your counter than the boxes your wraps come in. If aesthetics matter to you, it definitely makes the kitchen look a little more tidy.
I also like that the teeth are ceramic, which is safer for little kiddy-hands than the normal cling wrap metal “teeth.”
Foil and parchment paper definitely work the best in the dispenser. Cling wrap can be a bit fiddly because it sometimes retreats back into the dispenser rather than sitting on the ceramic teeth, but once you get the hang of it, it works and the teeth do cut smoothly for a clean rip.
Bottom line: It definitely beats having a worn-down cardboard box on the counter.
