Whole Foods Is Celebrating Pi Day with the Sweetest Deal
The 14th of March is commonly known as Pi Day around the world — a holiday celebrating the mathematical constant Pi, which is approximately 3.14159 and has 6.4 billion known digits. Lucky for you, you don’t need to be a mathematician to take part in this special day. In fact, Pi Day is really just an excuse to have as much pie and pizza as you can possibly handle.
Don’t have time to make your own sweet or savory pie? Whole Foods is here to help you out.
This Pi Day — today! — grocery retailer Whole Foods is getting into the holiday spirit by offering special deals. All large bakery pies and large take-and-bake pizzas will be $3.14 off the original price (get it? Get it?!). The deal will exclude small pizzas, flatbreads, half pies, and pizzas baked in-house. The deal is only available while supplies last.

There’s also, of course, the DIY approach that you can access from the comfort of your own home. Make your own pie from scratch whether it be a healthy-ish sweet potato pie or a savory tomato peach and tarragon pot pie. Or, keep it simple and make an awesome pizza pie at home to celebrate.
While celebrating with food can be seen as distracting from the holiday’s academic roots, it is a great way to keep the holiday fun and accessible to those who are ambivalent about the mathematical constant.
This isn’t a sponsored post. We just love Whole Foods (and Pi Day!). Have you seen any other good deals for this holiday of math and food?
