I Tried Whipped Lemonade and I’ll Be Drinking It All Summer Long
Last summer we were taken by the phenomenon that was whipped coffee. Millions of people had to give it a try, including myself. This summer, whipped lemonade has popped up all over TikTok, so naturally I was intrigued.
After trying out the latest whipped drink, I propose we trade in the coffee beans for lemons for a concoction that makes for the perfect creamy-sweet-tart-chilled libation.

How to Make Whipped Lemonade
To my surprise, this whipped lemonade was incredibly easy to make. Whip together 1/4 cup of cold heavy cream, half-and-half, or coconut cream with two tablespoons of lemonade powder (or one individual packet). The goal is to whip the cream until soft peaks are formed. I used a mini whisk since it is such a small amount — a frother would work great for this.
Next, combine one cup of water with a handful of ice cubes in a glass or cocktail shaker. If you’re looking to make a spiked version, now would be the time to add those tequila or vodka shots. Top with the lemonade whipped cream and stir or shake until thoroughly combined. I preferred using a cocktail shaker because it made the drink extra frothy and creamy — and it made me feel extra fancy. Finally, serve the frosted lemonade with sliced lemons or a fancy cocktail umbrella.
My Honest Review of Whipped Lemonade
I have to be honest: Being reunited with one of my high school favorites (powdered lemonade) felt incredibly nostalgic, and I drank the entire glass in a few minutes. This drink hit all the right notes for me. It had the sweet and tart flavor of classic lemonade with the added creaminess from the heavy cream. If you’re looking to upgrade your lemonade experience, this is a quick recipe to try.
When I make this drink again, I’ll be cutting out the dairy and replacing it with coconut cream. It’s easier on my stomach and will add a bit of tropical flavor.
My #1 Tip for Whipped Lemonade
When making this simple whipped lemonade recipe, I encourage you to step outside the box and add things like muddled berries, fresh mint, lemon juice, liquor, or even fruit jam! After a few sips, this drink can be a bit boring, so adding more bright, fresh flavors can help make it even better.
