Where Should We Go & What Should We Eat in 2018?
This year, we’ve been eating and drinking our way through the United States. We’ve eaten the classics, like red beans & rice in New Orleans and apple dumplings in Upstate New York, and we’ve made some discoveries. In Louisville, for example, we learned that cornbread pancakes are the answer to a night of too much bourbon (or really the answer to What’s for breakfast? on any Saturday or Sunday). We’ve found, too, that flavored oil is the secret to taking your breakfast egg taco from ho-hum to sublime.
This month, we’re excited to be exploring Portland, Maine, which is where our very own Sheela Prakash recently got married (read about why Portland is really the best place to have a destination wedding) and where you should definitely go if you want to get the best bagel you’ll ever eat.
And next month, we’re traveling across the country to Seattle. Get ready to learn the very best way to cook salmon at home, plus the joys of herring butter and a super-simple green salad.
But even though we’re just halfway into the year, we’re already thinking about next year and wondering: Where should we go? And, more importantly, what should we eat?
So, we’re throwing the question out to you, our readers. Where would you like to go? What would you like to eat? What’s the tastiest place you’ve traveled to? What food-lover’s destination is at the top of your must-visit list?
Are you dreaming of butter burgers and cheese curds in Milwaukee? Do you have your sights set on a weekend jaunt to Paris to eat your fill of pastries?
