What’s the Matter With Brunch? Everything, Apparently.

Did you hear? Brunch is on the way out. If you believe the New York Times Opinion pages that is.

Over the weekend, a writer came out against the culture of brunch, citing that “it has become a twice-weekly symbol of our culture’s increasing desire to reject adulthood.” Ouch.

Now whether or not you still believe in brunch, we’re at least taking comfort in the fact that it’s not the food that this writer is attacking. (That would be more than we could handle.) Instead, he’s against the hours-long meals that while away a perfectly good Saturday or Sunday.

We’ll take comfort in that fact while we plan our at-home brunch with one of these recipes next weekend.
