What’s the Best Way to Use Drinking Vinegar?
Q: I was given a bottle of apple pie-spiced “drinking vinegar” and have no idea what that is or what to do with it. Making a shrub or vinaigrette is about all I’ve come up with, but it’s a fairly large bottle. Any good cocktail recipes or anything else that would make a good match?

Editor: While drinking vinegar has had a surge in popularity over the last few years, it’s actually been around for hundreds of years. As you mentioned, shrubs are certainly the most popular way to use the syrup you’ve been gifted, although I’m sure our readers may have some other interesting suggestions.
Kitchn readers, have you ever tried drinking vinegar? Do you have any advice for McKenzie on interesting ways to use her apple-flavored drinking vinegar?
