What’s the Best Storage Container for Homemade Sandwich Bread?
Q: Help! I’m trying to choose a storage bin to keep my homemade sandwich bread fresh through the week, but I’m kind of stuck.
I was all set to buy a gorgeous tin bread box with a wooden lid that doubles as a cutting board from King Arthur Flour, when I decided to do just a little more research.
I found another reader question from six years ago where you suggested going with a ceramic bin rather than one made of stainless or other metals. The bread box you recommended from Nigella Lawson is gorgeous, but it’s no longer available in the states (unless I pay insane import and shipping fees). So now I’m stuck.
The only two ceramic bins I can find are way out of my price range (I’m looking for something under $100). Is ceramic really the only way to go? Thanks for the help!
