Q: We met a lovely couple via a mutual friend around a month ago, and they just moved into our neighborhood this week.

We’ve hung out a few times since meeting, and they are very sweet. They have asked us to look in on their cats every day while they make the long drive to the Northeast and back to move the rest of their belongings. I’d like to leave a little something in their refrigerator that they can reheat for a warm, cozy meal when they get back into town, as they will likely be exhausted.

My first question: Yay or nay? Is this an okay thing to do?

Second: Do you have a good casserole/shepherd’s pie recipe that’s good for reheating?

Readers, what would you make for your neighbors after they get back from a long drive?
