Have you ever wondered if there's something crazy going on in your kitchen while you're away at work? French artist Benoit Jammes brought an imagined scenario to lively life in his photograph series, skitchen. What if your kitchen was a skatepark for your favorite fruits and vegetables? Take a look...
Benoit Jammes is a French artist who lives in Paris. I asked him what inspired him to create this kitchen skatepark:
"When I was a kid, I skated a lot and I still have great interest in skating, snowboarding, or any kind of crazy sports. I'm now more in artwork, so I decided to mix them and show everyone what's happen in the kitchen when you turn [your] back."
"I don't skate anymore," he said. "Today I really prefer a great dinner than a huge sport session. I love to prepare some curry chicken, but except this, my wife is a really much better cook than me!"
I love these playful photos — I have my eye now on those lemons and tomatoes. What are they up to while I'm gone?
As Benoit says, "Who said that we must not play with food? Eat better, skate harder!"
Love them too? You can order prints of these from Benoit!
