Q: My boyfriend and I are moving in together next weekend and I'm in charge of stocking our kitchen. I have great kitchen equipment, so that's not a concern, but I'm wondering what core ingredients I should stock up on my first big grocery shopping trip.
Obviously olive oil, salt, pepper, and spices, but what else? I'm lost! I don't want to spend a fortune, but I want to have a well-stocked kitchen so I'm not constantly making big trips to the store in order to whip up even the quickest meals for the first couple weeks.

Editor: Before heading off to the store, think about some of the regular meals you cook and foods you eat — that should help get you started. I'd also recommend not trying to buy everything in one shopping trip. Shop for all your basic essentials, and after a week or so, you'll have an idea of other items that would be useful.
Readers, what essential items do you think Campbell should buy for stocking her new kitchen?
