What Do You Love Most About Your Kitchen?
No kitchen is perfect. There are kitchens with hard-to-open drawers, leaky faucets, ugly cabinets, and chipped tile countertops. Even newly remodeled kitchens have at least one thing the homeowner wishes they did differently. Yet, there’s always plenty to love about every kitchen.
I currently live with a kitchen that is triangle-shaped and the oven door does not open all the way because it hits a wall! (Something I did not notice before I moved in.) It’s annoying to bake in and awkward anytime a second person joins me in the space, but I still love (parts of) it.
My favorite thing? A cute little bonus shelf that the landlord put in for me before I moved in. (Maybe he felt bad about the oven?) It’s the perfect place to display my Bubbie’s drinking glasses that I cherish more than any other possession. I also love that I have a dishwasher, despite the fact that it means I only really have one half of a drawer to work with.
If I can find not one, but two (two!) things to love about my terrible rental kitchen, then there must be things you can find to love about your own space.
