Watch This Chef Use a Fidget Spinner to Help Plate a Dish
If you’re sick of hearing about fidget spinners (the pros, the cons, and everything in between), I recommend taking a break and getting a snack.
Except … now your meal might come to you courtesy of fidget spinners. Yes, really.
At least, that’s what could happen if the social media post from Houston restaurant Reef goes even more viral. As you can see above, the Instagram video shows a fidget spinner being used to create a beautiful plate of food, much the way spin art did in the ’80s and ’90s.
The video is reportedly in response to a social media post by lauded chef Eric Ripert in his kitchen at Le Bernadin. Say what you will about fidget spinners, but the plating of this dish is actually pretty impressive.
Whatever your feelings are about this trendy toy, remember to exercise caution when giving them to children.
