The Pringles Wine Tumbler You Need Is Already Sold Out

Remember that story from a few weeks back about the woman who got banned from a Texas Walmart for drinking wine out of a Pringles can in the store’s parking lot? Apparently she had been there since the early hours of the morning riding around in an electric cart and sipping wine. At the time most people championed the woman as the people’s hero (though I hope she’s okay and getting help if she needs it). A fan group for the anonymous woman formed, and in 2019, we collectively decided that we would embody her spirit by doing more things that bring us joy (without committing any crimes, hopefully). Now, you actually can get one step closer to living like our lady of the Walmart cart: An artist has actually made Pringles-themed tumblers for wine.

The cheeky cups were being sold on on Etsy shop The Cup Artist, but the entire line sold out quickly. I guess people really were eager to copy the Walmart woman’s style. Artist Celeste Powers saw a bankable moment in the viral story, too. She told MyRecipes that she thought the incident was “hilarious,” and immediately knew she wanted to “spoof” it.

“Where else in America can you go see and buy almost anything than Walmart?” Powers added.

Now you might be wondering why you need some fancy tumbler to hold your wine. Why not embrace the chaos and pour it straight in an empty Pringles can? Well I’m all about innovative ways to get a buzz, but do you really want your wine mingling with all that Pringles seasoning? Doubtful. But until Powers restocks her already wildly popular Pringles tumblers it seems like that’s just what we’re going to have to do. So please, Celeste, if you’re reading this, make more of your tumblers. We aren’t going to be able to drink salty wine for very long.
