Is Walmart Open on Labor Day 2024?

The last days of summer are here (much to my dismay — it feels like this summer has especially flown by!). If you’re seeking to round out the final days soaking up the sun with a pool party, barbecue bash, or weekend trip away, you’re going to need to stock up on some goods. 

Walmart has everything you might need to create a delicious spread or to decorate your backyard for a summer soirée. But maybe a few more guests came over than you expected and you ran out of hot dogs to throw on the grill? Or you’re looking for some last-minute decor finds to light up your backyard once the sun goes down. Will you be able to count on Walmart to snag those last-minute needs? 

Yes, Walmart will be open on Labor Day with its normal store hours. You can always call ahead and double check the hours of the store nearest you. So don’t worry if you happen to forget anything, like lemonade, ice cream sandwiches, or pool floats.

Walmart also launched its own line of store-brand items called bettergoods, including these $3 oat milk frozen dessert pints. So grab a couple to try if you’ve got some plant-based family and friends coming over. 

Now is also the perfect time to pick up any Walmart finds that you’ve been eyeing for a while. The store recently lowered prices on thousands of items, including the Ninja Creami, perfect for making delicious frozen desserts at home, as well as Emeril’s Power Grill. 

If you’ve been needing new mixing bowls, grab this 10-piece set from The Pioneer Woman’s range. They come in cute floral-patterned designs, and each has its own lid! 

You could also use this as an opportunity to stock up on those kitchen appliances you’ve been meaning to get, like a new Nespresso machine, which could help you save money spent at coffee shops in the long run.
