In case you saw Amazon Prime Day come and go without finally getting yourself an Instant Pot, don't worry. While this year's sale event included the lowest price we'd ever seen for a 6-Quart Instant Pot (the Duo was marked down to $59 from the usual $90 or $100!), we have a feeling we might start seeing similar (or lower!) deals during special occasion sales.

In fact, Walmart is currently having its own sale on a different model for a limited time.

For three days only (today through July 25) Walmart is offering the 6-Quart Instant Pot Lux for $49. This machine, just so you know, usually goes for $79.

What's the Difference Between the Instant Pot Lux and the Duo?

The Lux is the original and most basic model. It only has one pressure option (high) but that, not surprisingly, makes things easier. This is actually the model we suggest, as it'll do everything you want it to and you won't have to worry about features you might not need.

The Duo has the low-pressure setting in addition to the high-pressure one. That means you can now pressure cook things like custards and cakes. And the machine also works as a yogurt maker. But if you can't see yourself making any of these three things, you probably don't need those extra bells and whistles.
