This “Amazing” Henckels Self-Sharpening Knife Set Makes Meal Prep Effortless (It’s $500 Off!)

For Christmas last year, one of the items on my list was a new knife block set. Unfortunately, the set I originally wanted was hundreds upon hundreds of dollars, so I felt too bad to ask for it. It had a self-sharpening knife block, which is my ideal situation for my knives. But instead, I asked for a standard knife block set I found on Amazon. It’s nice for what it is, but I know eventually I will still want to upgrade to a block with self-sharpening capabilities.

Had I been, I would’ve asked for it instead — especially if the deal was as good as it is right now. At Walmart, you can snag the usually $657 set for just $140! Not only is this a great deal, but reviewers also rave about Henckels’ German-made knives. And now I’m thinking maybe I should rework this year’s Christmas list…

This 14-piece set comes with everything you need to prep all your meals moving forward — including the knife block itself. This is perhaps the best part of this whole set. The knife block in this set is self-sharpening, so every time you pull your chef’s, paring, and/or santoku knife out of the block, you’ll be helping sharpen it a little bit.

If you’re someone who is looking for new knives because your old ones have gone dull, this is an amazing solution to that. Plus, each slot on the block is labeled, so you’ll know exactly where each and every knife goes every time. That said, quite a few reviewers did note that the knife block itself is pretty long and takes up a bit of counter space, so just know that going in.
