I don’t know about you, but this millennial has a soft spot for Gap. I grew up shopping at their clothing store in my local mall (and dousing myself with their “Dream” and “Heaven” body mists). As I got older, I fell in love with Gap Home, which is everything you love about Gap’s goes-with-everything-and-always-looks-good style, but for your house. Think lived-in denim, but make it decor.

So I was thrilled to hear they’re partnering with Walmart on an exclusive (very affordable, gorgeous-as-ever) collection of tableware. And as with all things Gap, it will fit in perfectly with whatever you already own in your closet … err, cupboards.

Four dinner plates, four dessert plates, four bowls, plus four 16-oz tumblers: It all adds up to a casual dinnerware set that might be the closest thing to perfect I’ve seen. The pieces are stoneware and finished with a matte glaze, giving them a modern-ish look that’s unfussy enough for takeout on Tuesday but pretty enough for a Friday dinner party.  It comes in five different colors, which are all complementary. (Translation: You can mix and match as you grow your collection.)

I love, love, love a mismatched dining set. This collection of 6” bowls comes with four different designs in a deep, bright blue (the polka dots are my favorite of the bunch). These bowls are the ideal shape and size for cereal, ramen, and cozy servings of soup, but since they’re dishwasher and microwave safe, you can use them for, well, just about everything.

This dinnerware set is patterned in the “new blue” that’s the epitome of Gap's classic style. Since each piece is patterned slightly differently with stripes, dots, and edging, it creates a perfectly imperfect table setting. The set contains dinner plates, salad plates, small bowls, and — the best part — dinner bowls, which are just the right shape and size for a saucy pasta

Can you have a crush on tableware? I’m asking for a friend, of course. This collection serves rustic hand-thrown pottery vibes but rings up at less than $40 for the whole set. The speckled matte glaze and modern “unfinished” bottom fit right in with contemporary tableware style, but unlike many custom-made pieces, these are super durable (and can handle your dishwasher).

If you’re the type to sip on a hot beverage all morning long (or curl up with a mug of tea in the evening), you need these mugs. They’re durable but not clunky or heavy, and at 17 ounces, they’re right size for extra-foamy DIY lattes. Each one is unique, but they’re all so pretty.

Right-sized for side salads, lunches, sandwiches, and single-serve cheese-and-charcuterie plates (you’re welcome for that last idea), these plates are a must-have set. They’re 8” in diameter, made from durable porcelain-grade ceramic, dishwasher safe, and — maybe most importantly? — will look stunning on your Instagram feed. #forthegram

These mugs are 14.8 ounces each and satisfyingly stackable. They’re a great space saver for small kitchens or anyone with an overwhelmingly cluttered mug cupboard. Choose from an assortment of colors, or go straight for the black-and-white set; they’re timeless, chic, and will remind you of Oreos every time you brew coffee.

The design on these water bottles is perfectly minimalist-pretty — with their sleek profile and bamboo lid, they’re the epitome of Gap’s timeless style. The glass bottle will help you reduce single-use plastic, and the BPA-free silicone sleeve ensures you can take it on the go without breakage. The sleeve comes in a variety of colors, but the melon-y one above is my favorite.
