Over at AT:LA, Abby posted 20 household uses for newspaper besides just tossing it in the recycling bin. Then, last night, we saw a food-related use that we thought we'd pass on to the Kitchn readers...
These are single sheets of newspaper (even more interesting if they're foreign) used as placemats. True, we also love pretty linens, but for any Cure takers planning a party who want to do something cheap and different, we thought this was a fun idea.
You could also write guests' names on the sheets of paper for casual "place cards."
