Traditional Scandinavian Kitchen Storage Cabinet

Traditional Scandinavian Kitchen Storage Cabinet

We are so smitten by this baby blue Scandinavian storage cabinet. We spotted it over at Living Etc., and after some sleuthing discovered its source.

This handcrafted storage cabinet holds 12 aluminum pouring scoops and 9 glass spice bottles with cast metal lids which are vacuum sealed to maintain freshness. We would love to store flour, pasta, sugar, and other grains in the scoops -- in fact, we were just dreaming about something like this for our little kitchen. The glass bottles are designed for spices, and fit neatly into the round slots in the bottom of the unit. We like how it keeps the spices handy but still away from the light.

We've only found the storage unit sold through a UK shop called Store - A Place for Everything. And here's the kicker: it's super pricey. The larger 12-drawer unit is £460 and the smaller six-drawer version is still £355. Where's an IKEA knockoff when you really need it? We hope we see one soon!

UPDATED: Just found the original source, which is a British company called Ella's Kitchen Company:
