Eating a bowl of broccoli-cheddar soup is a great way to warm up on a chilly day. And luckily if you’re craving it, you don’t actually have to make it — you can find it at places like Panera and Trader Joe’s. But if you recently picked up a container of broccoli-cheddar soup from Trader Joe’s, you might want to think twice before digging into it.

Trader Joe’s just recently issued a recall for its Unexpected Cheddar Broccoli Soup. The popular broccoli-cheddar soup was recalled due to reports that it may potentially contain insects. This news comes shortly after the beloved grocery chain recalled both falafel and two cookie products just this month as well.

If you check your refrigerator and have a container of Trader Joe’s Unexpected Broccoli Cheddar Soup that includes a “use by” date from July 18 to September 15, it’s best to throw it out or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a refund, according to an alert from Trader Joe’s.

If you’ve purchased this soup and have any other questions or concerns, you can also contact Trader Joe’s Customer Relations Team at (626) 599-3817 or send an email at this link.

Meanwhile, if you still have a hankering for broccoli-cheddar soup, there’s a slow cooker version that totally hits the spot.
