What Are Trader Joe’s Hours on Thanksgiving Day This Year?
We at The Kitchn are big fans of Trader Joe’s. With its seasonal product drops, friendly employees, cute packaging, deliciously cheap wine, and competitive prices, what’s not to love?
We also love a good shortcut, and Trader Joe’s has plenty of finds that’ll get dinner on the table in no time. We’ve even created a weeknight meal plan with recipes that feature Trader Joe’s ingredients, and have plenty of other recipes on our site featuring Trader Joe’s products.
So if this Thanksgiving you’re looking for a little bit of help to create a delicious meal that doesn’t require spending days in the kitchen, Trader Joe’s has you covered. But if you happen to have a mishap on Thanksgiving Day, will you be able to grab some of those fan-favorite items on the holiday?
Unfortunately, Trader Joe’s will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy all their seasonal faves — you just have to plan ahead.
Trader Joe’s frozen food section has an endless supply of appetizers to choose from that simply need to be heated up. (The air fryer will be your best friend). If you’re looking for some new seasonal items to try, we’ve rounded up our November favorites, including white queso dip (an easy app served with tortilla chips) and the cheesy, creamy greens & veggies (pop some breadcrumbs or crispy fried onions on top and you’ve got a foolproof Thanksgiving side dish).
Who said pasta can’t be a part of the Thanksgiving spread? For something different, pick up the butternut squash ravioli and serve it with a butter and sage sauce.
Trader Joe’s also has some of the best desserts in the business. If you want to convince your family and friends you’re as skilled a baker as Martha Stewart, pick up a delicious rustic apple tart and top it with a scoop of TJ’s salted maple ice cream. Or snag some of these super-cute teeny-tiny apple pies — they’re the perfect size so everyone can get their own and doesn’t have to fight over the last slice. (Just make sure you get more than one box.)
If cake and pie aren’t your thing, these fan-favorite gingerbread sandwich cookies will go down a treat. And if you need a nightcap, pick up a bottle of TJ’s limited-edition espresso martini and thank us later.
