Trader Joe’s Just Brought Back a Fan-Favorite Limited-Edition Treat, and It’s Flying Off Shelves
If you find yourself daydreaming often about an Italian summer vacation, we can totally relate. And while Trader Joe’s new refreshing Strawberry Lemonade Ice Bars are not the same thing as a trip to Italy, they are — believe it or not — actually made in Italy.
You may have spotted them on The Kitchn’s list of 19 new groceries hitting Trader Joe’s this summer released in June, but thanks to the official Trader Joe’s Instagram account, we now know that the bars have officially landed in stores. The TJ’s lemonade ice bars are made with zero artificial flavors, and instead get their sweet taste from a blend of strawberry purée and lemon juice concentrate — along with other natural flavors.
One TJ’s shopper commented that these bars arrived “just in time,” which I would have to agree with because the temperatures have been heating up this summer. Another responded that they were a “beautiful summer flavor explosion,” which could be due in part to the bar’s summer sunset tones of pink, white, and red derived from the fruit juices used in their creation.
So even though you might not have the chance to check out Italy this summer, you can have your cashier checkout these strawberry lemonade ice bars the next time you visit Trader Joe’s. Not only are they a refreshing treat, but they will also help you beat the heat.
