The Gorgeous $6 Spring Gem I Only Buy from Trader Joe’s (Every Single Week)
I’ve always been a fan of fresh flowers. Walk into my apartment at any time of year and you’ll notice one common thread. Or, more specifically, one common bulb — flower bulbs, that is. I absolutely love buying myself fresh flowers, and they always, always come from Trader Joe’s. And here’s why.
Why do I always choose the flowers from TJ’s, you may ask? There are many reasons, but I have to admit, the most important one is simply because they’re inexpensive. I love that for under $10 — and, oftentimes, even for under $5! — I can treat myself to a beautiful bouquet that not only stays fresh all week, but brings me tons of joy. I’ve shopped for flowers at almost every grocery store you’ve ever heard of, and I’ve never found ones at such high quality for such low prices. I mean, just look!
A typical bouquet costs between $4 and $10 at Trader Joe’s, but I usually opt for the flowers in the $5 to $6 range. I tend to gravitate toward blooms like hydrangeas, daisies, roses, lilies, or tulips, and I’m considering adding some eucalyptus to the fold. I especially love tulips during the springtime, since the colorful pinks, yellows, and purples just scream spring to me. I love that I can find so many different seasonal blooms without breaking the bank! And it feels like every year I find a new assortment of colors, which is just another thing to look forward to for spring.
Speaking of seasonal blooms, I tend to choose ones that are superbright and colorful year-round. Thus far this spring, I’ve been focusing on purple, but I think I’m going to look for yellows and pinks on my upcoming trips too. I’m also planning on buying an orchid and refreshing my succulent planter collection soon, especially since they each last for months (and, truth be told, I don’t have the greenest thumb, so it’s the perfect low-effort solution).
What’s especially great about Trader Joe’s flowers is that, depending on the bouquet, the flowers might even be sizable enough to split into multiple vases, which means I can display them on my kitchen island, bookcases, and the coffee table in my living room. Talk about a way to stretch $10!
Now, I hope you’ll excuse me — it’s time to head to Trader Joe’s and pick my flowers of the week! It’s the simplest, most budget-friendly way to add an instant pop of color and joy to my space.
