Last year, when Trader Joe’s reintroduced its iconic wooden cutting boards, loyal fans quickly took to social media to share their excitement about the release. Within just a few days, these rustic gems sold out.

If you look back at an older post from @TraderJoesList, a popular account that provides various updates about Trader Joe’s, you will see that it details how hard it was to secure a cutting board. The commenter said, “I regret not getting one when I first saw these and am still waiting for the restock.”

So, what makes this rustic TJ’s find so special? For starters, there is a collection of products crafted with olive wood. The most popular gem from that line is the $29.99 cutting board, but they also have spatulas for $2.99. Trader Joe’s website states that these kitchen products are made from tree scraps left over from a Tunisian olive harvest.

These olive wood cutting boards and spatulas have been out of stock for a few months, but Trader Joe’s recently restocked them on its shelves. Similar to the last drop, this rollout is garnering a lot of hype.

One person commented on this Instagram post detailing the olive wood cutting board and spoon release, saying, “That spatula is everything to me. Buy one if you’re considering! Looooove mine. Hoping to get another.” While another shopper called out, “Love gifting those boards!”

Last year, when these popular cutting boards were unveiled, many shoppers called out that Amazon sells a dupe for a cheaper price of $12.99. It looks similar to the Trader Joe’s version and is crafted out of the same olive wood material.

Luckily, if you run out of luck securing one of these rustic TJ’s gems in stores during your grocery shop, you can always order it online. These olive wood boards are ideal for holiday gifts or for hosting and decking out with delicious charcuterie.
